Potočar climbed to a height of 30+ on the brand new wall in Koper. This was the same as his Swiss competitor Sascha Lehmann but Potočar won due to a better result in the semi-final. Third place went to Yannick Flohe of Germany.

In the women's competition, triple European champion Janja Garnbret finished in the runner-up position. Commenting on the competition, she said that while things did not work out according to plans, she was ok with placing second. This was the first competition this year that she did not win, ending her 11-event winning streak. Ai Mori of Japan won the event and the American Brooke Raboutou finished third.
