Prime Minister Janez Janša has stated that it was too early to say whether children would return to school in early January, as previously hoped.

Statistics show that the situation has slightly improved in recent days.

However, he noted that the relaxation of restrictions on Christmas Day and during the New Year period would most likely lead to an increase in the number of infections, though it was too early to know exactly how high this number would be.
