Today Slovenia celebrates the Day of Uprising Against Occupation. It marks the establishment in 1941 of a movement to fight the occupation and annexation of the country. At the time, Slovenia was partitioned by Germany, Italy, Hungary and Croatia. It is a bank holiday.
President Borut Pahor will host an open day at the Presidential Palace to mark the occasion.
