The Slovenian government has decided for a more gradual approach to Friday’s opening of the country’s borders to EU residents.
Only citizens of EU and Schengen Zone countries with which bilateral technical agreements are reached will be allowed to cross without restrictions.
Yesterday’s decree was adopted an hour before taking effect at 10pm last night.
Meanwhile, all Slovenian nationals and foreigners with residence in Slovenia are now allowed to freely cross into the country.
