Šuc was among the 12 new ambassadors to Croatia to present their credentials.

Šuc is assuming the post at a time of strained relations between the two countries.

Šuc's most recent job was the head of Slovenia's permanent mission to the UN in Geneva. In the past he had also served as ambassador to Sweden and consul general in New York.
