For the first time in its history, the 42km long marathon track was shaped as a circle, so even more roads and streets have been closed across Ljubljana. The track started at Slovenska cesta with the finish line at the Kongresni trg square.

The recreational 10km run kicked off at 8:30AM while the participants of the 42km marathon and 21km half-marathon started running at 10.30 AM with the start of paraplegic marathon runners 10 minutes prior; at 10.20AM.
