Car shows across the world have changed considerably with the advancement of car technology. But there is still a charm in visiting car shows, to be able to sit in a car, touch the material, and get to know a car in a way which would never be possible through the World Wide Web.
Today's car shows are different, but with ever more content. Visitors will leave a car show with new information and knowledge. After 16 years the Auto Salon returns to Ljubljana.
"In the last three years I've visited a number of car shows across Europe. We closely followed all the happenings at the biggest motor shows. Is it possible to make a comparison with Slovenia? We have to take into account the quantity and purchasing power of buyers, see what kind of visitors will come and look at the cars and attend the presentations and lectures. We must not underestimate the Slovenian buyer. We can't compare Slovenia's Auto Salon to the motor shows in Geneva or Paris, but it will be a good show. At the end of the day we will have first-time presentations of a number of cars, which were first seen this month in Geneva," said Iztok Bricl, the head of Ljubljana's Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Almost all the existing car brands will be on display. The car show will also be connected to events taking place in the Technology Pavilion, where visitors will be advised on their automobility. At the same time they will be educated on the necessary things for a safe and comfortable drive, on how vehicles work and the future of automobility.
