This year some new projects will join events like the Writer's Stage, the Publishing Academy and the presentations of several publishers. The central happening this evening will be the Schwentner Award reception, with the keynote speaker and guest of honour at the fair, scholar Ciril Zlobec. A novelty this year is also the book fair’s grand award for the best book of the year. A 5-member jury has selected five nominees.

The winner will be voted on by visitors until the end of the fair. The event will also feature some culinary delights prepared live by famous chefs and several book readings, concerts and much more.
