According to data published by the government, 45% of the refugees who came to Slovenia were from Syria, 30% from Afghanistan, 17% from Iraq, and 1% from Pakistan. 7% of the refugees were citizens of other states.
Most of the refugees were women and juveniles, namely 51.5%, while 48.7% of the refugees were males. 158 persons asked for international protection; 69 applications were already solved, and only 5 individuals were granted refugee status.
Last year the cost of managing refugees for Slovenia amounted to 25 million euros. The international aid covered less than a half of the mentioned amount.
