Last year, around 55,000 visitors attended the 5th annual Chocolate Festival in Radovljica, and organizers expect similar numbers this year. The festival will feature around 40 chocolate makers. The 6th edition of the festival will see the debut of several new flavours, including chocolate with minced lard, cracklings, olive oil and Mohant cheese. The festival will also feature a white chocolate fountain, as well as vegan, gluten-free, and raw chocolates.
Chocolate roulette wheel, sculptures, and a 95 kilogram Gorenjka chocolate bar
Last year, a local chocolatier made it into the Guinness Book of Records with the world’s largest chocolate bar. This year, ice sculptor Miro Rismondo will exhibit his hand-carved chocolate sculptures, including a chocolate roulette wheel with chips. Moreover, Painter Meta Šolar will present her chocolate paintings.
The festival will also showcase a 95 kilogram Gorenjka chocolate bar. The chocolate bar, which was made to celebrate the company’s 95th anniversary, contains 32 kilograms of nuts and 63 kilograms of milk chocolate with a cocoa content of 30 percent. It took about 24 hours to make the chocolate bar.
