Croatia is allowed to use the name Kranjska Klobasa for another 15 years. This is already the 11th Slovenian product to get the protected geographical indication. These are products closely linked to the geographical area.

As the Slovenian Ministry for Agriculture explained such a status means that at least one of the stages of production takes place within a certain geographical area.
