Since 6 o’clock, NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) investigators have conducted thirteen searches in the areas served by the Ljubljana and Maribor Police Administrations, the General Police Administration has said.
Four people have been detained. “NBI investigators are investigating the suspects on suspicion of abuse of office in the recapitalization of the Ptuj-based company,” NBI has said.
Steel maker acquires poultry producer
MMC has learned that NBI investigators, who have restricted access to SIJ’s headquarters in Ljubljana, are investigating a recent recapitalization of poultry group Perutnina Ptuj. In late October, steel producer SIJ recapitalized Perutnina Ptuj to the tune of 40 million euros. Today, SIJ also made a bid for all the remaining shares of Perutnina Ptuj.
