Ana Bucik took the 15th place, which is her best result ever. Last week she finished 17th at the Lienz slalom. Maruša Ferk confirmed her good form with the 17th place, and the 4th place in alpine combined Val d'Isere; it was her second best placement in the last two years. Katarina Lavtar won her first slalom points with the 23th place.
In Aspen three Slovenian skiers between 14th and 21st place
13 long years, at which time the »devilish Slovenian girls« were still active in skiing, have passed since the last time three Slovenian skiers took slalom points in a World Cup race. On November 30, 2012 in Aspen Nataša Bokal took 23rd place, while Lea Dabič and Špela Pretnar shared 14th place.
The fastest in both runs won
The victory of Nina Loeseth from Norway was convincing, and deserved – she was the fastest in both runs, and had the advantage of more than one second in front of the second placed Šarka Strachova from the Check Republic (+1.12). Veronika Velez Zuzulova stood on the third step of the podium, after a determined final attack (+1.37).
