The decision was adopted by the Committee on health at the National Assembly at today's session, after hearing a number of arguments in favour and against the amending act.

The motion for the amending act restricting the use of alcohol was presented by the head of the ZaAB deputies and the president of the Union Olimpija basketball club Jani Möderndorfer. In his estimation the presently valid act did bring certain results during its 13 years of validity, but during that period it turned out that all the bans have not given the desired effect.
