Two big groups counting around 5.000 refugees arrived in Rigonce this morning. That's the biggest number so far.
On Wednesday more than 12.600 refugees entered Slovenia. The number is much higher than the record high number of refugees that entered Hungary at the peak of its crisis. Meanwhile an incident broke out in Rigonce in which one refugee was stabbed.
The EU Commissioner for Migration, Dimitris Avramopulos, will arrive in Slovenia today. He will discuss the situation and ways on how to help Slovenia process the refugees with interior minister Vesna Györkös Žnidar and foreign minister Karel Erjavc. The details on EU's help are still to be agreed upon. Minister Vesna Györkös expects "maximum help in staff, equipment and financial aid."
