According to the Environment Agency (ARSO), the storms could unleash torrents of rain and heavy gusts of wind. Rivers and streams could rise quickly, especially in southern, south-western and central Slovenia.

Some small rivers are likely to overflow their banks. The weather is forecast to improve on Monday.
