The participants of the Sunday’s charity football tournament in Bilje, a settlement near the town of Nova Gorica, will be raising money for two charity organizations – Friends of Youth Association Ljubljana Moste - Polje with its project “Botrstvo v Sloveniji” (Sponsorship in Slovenia), and the “Vrabček upanja” Foundation (Sparrow of Hope Foundation).

In addition to donations, the event organizers have started an auction of several pieces of sports equipment donated by the best Slovenian sportsmen: Anže Kopitar (hockey), Goran Dragić (basketball), Matej Mohorič (cycling), Valter Birsa and Tim Matavž (both football).

Val 202, the 2nd channel of Slovenian public radio, will talk to a few bidders on air, but this is not a compulsory condition to participate in the auction. Your offer will be posted on Val 202’s website, where the bids will be updated in real time. The lowest bid raising has been set at EUR 10.

The auction opened this Friday at 6.10 am and will close this Sunday at 6 pm. The last offers will be accepted on air, in Val 202’s radio programme on Sunday between 5.40 and 6 pm.
