His co-defendants, Brigadier Tone Krkovič and Procurator Rotis Ivan Črnkovič were sentenced to 22 months. A high court in Ljubljana will hear their appeal today. Supporters of Janša insist the trial is politically motivated and are expected to gather outside the courthouse today. The trio has been boosted by recent events in Finland, where staff from Patria were acquitted in court due to a lack of evidence in the case.
