The world's best female Alpine skier has decided to donate the money raised through the auction to the Slovenian Children's Cancer Aid Institute.

The starting price for the helmet was set at EUR 1,500.

SPORTO's charity auctions in the past successfully found new owners for a pair of soccer cleats signed by the Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho, a soccer jersey of the Barcelona soccer team signed by the Argentinian star Lionel Messi, Roger Federer's tennis equipment, Lance Armstrong's cycling jersey, basketballs signed by the champions of the NBA League, Los Angeles Lakers, and, last but not least, a hockey stick used by the Slovenian winner of the Stanley Cup Anže Kopitar, who played a prominent role in helping the Los Angeles Kings win the title of the best North American hockey team.

The former record was held by Barcelona's team jersey with Lionel Messi's signature, which had been sold for EUR 3,000.
