Austrians want to buy Maribor archdiocese propery

The Diocese of Graz is interested in buying the property of the Archdiocese in Maribor. This would help it escape financial ruin. The Austrians could buy the seat of the Archdiocese of Maribor, the Aloysius church or the premises of the Faculty of Theology. Economic Director of the Diocese of Graz said that they were waiting on the agreement between the creditor banks. Meanwhile Raiffeisen bank is suing the Archdiocese of Maribor for 7.6 million euros. Friday's settlement hearing in the District Court in Maribor was not completed. The next hearing will be in November.
