The head of the so-called »bad bank«, Törnbjorn Mansson, held a press conference where he rejected reports of inefficiency and high costs. He was referring to media reports in July, which said a company he had been a member of, Quartz+Co., had received upwards of 3.7 million euros in consultancy fees. He denied being part of the decision to hire the company.
He said the bad bank had so far spent 5.2 million euros in consultancy fees.
Prime minister Miro Cerar recently announced that the fees for top executives at the bank would be lowered, but details are still unclear.
