In 2012, Kordež was sentenced to five years in prison and a €39,504 fine. Last year, the sentenced was upped to 6.5 years.

The Supreme Court has now ruled that due to mistakes made by the lower courts, Kordež’s sentence should be overturned. Kordež was released from the Dob prison near Ljubljana.
