Sazas, Slovenia’s largest collective copyright management organization, said that their official airplay chart, SLO TOP 50, is based on data collected from 61 Slovenian radio stations. Sazas began compiling the chart in 2013.
“Heart of Gold” topped the SLO TOP 50 chart between February 27 and March 5, i.e. the week after the EMA final. The Prevalje-based duo consisting of brothers Rok and Anej Piletič received a special award by Sazas for achieving this milestone. Sazas, moreover, confirmed that from now on they will regularly hand out awards for similar achievements.
The agency representing BQL said that breaking this record was no small feat, as only 8 songs in the SLO TOP 50 chart were sung in Slovenian. BQL had two songs in the SLO TOP 50 chart between February 27 and March 5, the other song being “Muza”. According to Raay Productions, the latter has been charting on the Slovenian charts for nine months.
