The campaign for the position of the UEFA president went through two rough days, and the gloves came off. According to Angel Maria Villar from Spain, the only question now is whether the Čeferin march towards the very top of the European football union can be stopped by the reproaches coming from the North of Europe, claiming that he had been chosen by Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President, and Russia.
"The representatives of the Scandinavian unions were the first, besides Italy, to suggest I should run for the President of the European Football Association," Aleksander Čeferin explained to MMC.
Josimar: Infantino's right hand is working for Čeferin
It all started on Monday, when the Norwegian football magazine Josimar published an article The President's Man. The specialized magazine has a long reach, and a wide response among football reporters and journalists in Western Europe. The original article written in Norwegian; in the evening the translation into English of the research made by the three journalists, Andreas Selliaas, Pal Odegard and Havard Melnaes was published.
