On Friday Microsoft and the Slovenian government signed a memorandum of understanding, which expresses mutual interest in cooperation by supporting Slovenia’s intention to become a green reference country in digital Europe.
The meeting with Microsoft’s executives was the last stop of a 4-day work visit that the Slovenian PM had made to the U.S. On Tuesday Cerar and the delegation visited the headquarters of IBM Watson in New York before travelling up to Boston to meet the representatives of the EMC Corporation. On Thursday the tour moved to the West Coast. The group visited the headquarters of Cisco and Oracle in San Francisco and its vicinity.
Strong business delegation
Cerar and Minister of Public Administration Boris Koprivnikar travelled to the U.S. with a strong business delegation, which also visited the headquarters of Tesla on Wednesday as well as joined the two ministers in socializing with the Slovenian expatriate communities in New York and San Francisco and visiting the Stanford and Washington Universities.
