Cerar only reminded Kopač Mrak of the promises she had made at the occasion of the first interpellation: the reform of social and family policies. She must meet her commitments by the end of the year.
At the meeting, no assessment was made of the decision of the Supreme Court that the removal of boys from Koroška was illegal, and was the actual reason for another interpellation against Kopač Mrak, but they did agree that it is significant for the future social and family policy in our country.
Anja Kopač Mrak was satisfied after the meeting. She repeated that the interpellation is an abuse of the family tragedy for political purposes, and that her resignation would bring no changes in the case of boys from Koroška. Her party leader Dejan Židan is of the same opinion; his presence at the meeting was requested by Cerar.
Kopač Mrak is now acquainted with the conditions which would assure her coming through the interpellation. She claims she is working hard on changes of family legislation, reorganisation of social work centres, and according to her the president of the government expects from her changes of Employment Relationships Act concerning decent jobs; they discussed also the long-term care.
In the press release issued by the Cerar's cabinet, next year Minister Kopač Mrak will be entitled to more budget funds for realisation of the projects. They added that the coalition, in spite of a number of populistic interpellations which have inundated the governmental halls, will not stray from their direction, and commitments.
