Prime Minister Miro Cerar has said he knows Slovenia cannot end its economic and financial crisis only by saving. He promises that the government will deal with money that disappeared in tax havens and assets of dubious origin.
Cerar stressed that one of the main tasks of this government is to figure out how to convince the richest Slovenians (who have stored wealth abroad) to bring their capital to Slovenia. He acknowledges that in addition to administrative obstacles, Slovenia does not have a judiciary system that would be effective enough and that resolving disputes in Slovenia takes a long time. He therefore promised that measures, intended to contribute to making our economy more attractive, will be taken following the adoption of the budget.
