Those employed at Pipistrel from Ajdovščina can look forward the most to the end-of-the-year bonuses. "This year our Christmas bonus is 1,500 euros, before that our employees received 250 euros as a performance award, and after the end of the year, if we succeed in fulfilling our export plans, additional award will be given as a 14th salary, on account of efficiency," said Ivo Boscarol, Director of Pipistrel.
The Slovenian pharmaceutical companies will award their employees, and the hired agency workers. Krka will pay the Christmas bonus in the amount of 1,280 euros, and at least the same amount will be given also by Lek. "Also this year the Christmas bonus will consist of a fixed part in the amount of 1,220 euros, and a variable part depending on the individual salary," explained Nives Fajfar from Lek.
But these Christmas bonuses are higher than average. Most companies will give their employees much lower bonuses, including Mlinotest where it will amount to 170 euros. According to Danilo Kobal from Mlinotest, the food-processing branch is going through a difficult time, and the salaries reflect that fact.
No Christmas bonus in public sector
The Ministry announced that there will be no Christmas bonus, and no 13th salary for those employed in public sector. But employees of some of the companies partially owned by the state can look forward to it.
The employees of Telekom Slovenija will receive a Christmas bonus in the gross amount of 150 euros. Those employed at Petrol will receive a Christmas bonus a bit lower than 750, and at Triglav Insurance Company, which in the first nine months created a profit of 77 million euros, the Christmas bonus will vary from 900 to 1,100 euros.
No Christmas bonuses are planned at SDH, the bad bank, and the state banks in which capital increase was needed. The employees of the Bank of Slovenia will however receive the 13th salary in the amount of 840 euros.
