SDS party has again proposed that Janša becomes a member of the parliamentary commission for the oversight of intelligence services. This comes even though Janša has been convicted to a 6 month prison sentence and his MP term has been terminated.

The President of the National Assembly Milan Brglez has already replied to the deputy group that he cannot consider their proposal and that they should find another candidate by next Wednesday.

The SDS insists Janša’s term hasn’t expired yet. Brglez did not say whether the commission can be set up without one member of the SDS party, while the SDS says it does not want to propose another candidate for the post.
