Media reports claim that the specialized public prosecution is investigating business deals related to the tender for a concession for a mobile operator in Kosovo, reportedly agreed upon in advance.
The former chairman and vice-chairman of Telekom Slovenia Bojan Dremelj and Dušan Mitič supposedly kept from the rest of the management the fact that Telekom would pay to the representative of the Kosovo company Kosmocell a reward for renouncing to the concession, and a commission to the Factor Bank for their cooperation at the business deal, the purchase of the business share in the Ipko company amounting to almost 24 million euros.
In this way Dremelj and Mitič allegedly assured the benefit of 12 million euros to the Kosovo businessman Ekrem Lluka, and seven million euros to Factor Bank. Telekom thus allegedly suffered a damage of approximately 20 million euros, and due to contentious deals indemnity suits have been filed against the then management. Charges are being pressed also against the former president and the member of the management board of the Factor Bank Boris Pesjak and Ciril Dragonja for assistance in criminal act. Lluka has also been charged with abetting a crime.
