His case has been discussed today at the session of the parliamentary health committee at the SDS party initiative. In the end of the previous year Radan allegedly shortened the life of one of his patients at Clinical Department for Vascular Neurology and Intensive Neurology Therapy of the Division of Neurology at the University Medical Center, Ljubljana by injecting potassium into patient's body.

Radan denied it, but the internal professional supervision showed that the patient's life had most likely been shortened by an infusion of potassium and morphine. There is no material evidence, as the patient had been cremated without an autopsy.

Another "dubious" death
An additional special internal control was performed at UMC Ljubljana investigating the death of a patient in January 2014, also treated by Radan. Sergej Hojker, Medical Director of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, said at the session of the parliamentary committee that the control was still going on, but "it clearly shows that it was a dubious death".

Radan had been dismissed due to the mentioned incident with potassium, but he had already announced his intention to seek justice at the labour tribunal. The incident caused the replacement of Bojana Žvan, head of the Clinical Department for Vascular Neurology and Intensive Neurology Therapy, and Viktor Švigelj, Head of Neurointensive Care Unit.
