The festival's main prize, the crystal globe, was awarded to It's Not the Time of My Life, a Hungarian feature film directed by Szabolcs Hajdu.
Kozole convinced this year's jury with a film inspired by a notorious affair of an elite Slovenian doctor, Sašo Baričević, being mauled to death by his dogs. The film revolves around fundamental question of present-day European society such as trust, ethics, hypocrisy, corruption and fear of media.
Hajdu's film is a family drama shot in his own home, featuring members of his family and his friends. In addition to the grand prix and 25,000 dollars, the film has also swept the best actor award.

Both co-produced Czech films also celebrated success in the competitive programme: Zuzana Maurery was recognized as best actress for her role in Jan Hrebejk's The Teacher, while a feature film titled The Wolf from Royal Vineyard Street earned the special mention from the festival jury.
