Officials yesterday hinted that she would be rejected and there were rumors that she would resign beforehand. A vote will be held tonight. Bratušek is a candidate for vice president of the energy union.
Jean Claude Juncker, who picked Bratušek, did not want to comment on the speculation surrounding her nomination. Bratušek is the former prime minister of Slovenia and raised eyebrows by including her own name in a list of candidates for a position in the new commission.
