Domen Prevc was convincingly best in the qualification jumps landing at 148,0 meters. With the jump he also tied the hill record which was set previously in the second round of the training series by Austrian Stefan Kraft.
The World Cup winner, Domen’s brother Peter Prevc, who had already secured a spot in the competition final, jumped 145,5 meters.
The other Slovenians also pulled off great jumps. Jurij Tepeš was second in the qualifications with 138,5 meters, Robert Kranjec was eighth (137,0 meters), while Jaka Hvala jumped 117,5 meters which was enough for 27th place.
Saturday’s competition will begin at 13.00 with live coverage on TVS 2 and MMC.
