However, it's not cheap and collecting the debts could cost the tax authorities more than the amount owed. The tax authorities say that about 50,000 people in Slovenia owe between 10 and 100 euros.

Collecting these taxes, however, also involves bank costs. Tax authorities are aware of the shortcomings, but say the law is written that way.
