Also this year the government is listing among its greatest achievements the signature of the social agreement. Yet the friction between the social partners has peaked.
The latest move by the Unions, i.e. their motion for amendment of law on minimum wage, and most of all inactivity of the Minister in charge in her attempts to establish a social dialogue seem to be the proverbial last straw.
The problem is the fact that the employers would be double-crossed, and not the Unions' motion. "We believe the topic should be rearranged, but refuse to accept that we have no say in this," President of the Association of Employers of Slovenia (ZDS) Milan Lukić explained.
In the period longer than half a year the social partners have met only at two round tables, although some employers were willing to come to an agreement.
