"We know that the problems can't be solved overnight," the Union president Branko Sevčnikar explained at the press conference. He said the agreement was a bit step forward. This week the Union reached an agreement with the economic-social council for the energy sector, with representatives from the Energy Industry Chamber, and the Ministry of Infrastructure besides the Union representatives, and were joined by the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Slovenian Sovereign Holding.
The partners adopted seven decisions, including the decision that the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Finance would, in cooperation with the Slovenian Sovereign Holding, prepare a plan for organizing of trade companies, and proposal for organisation and implementation of economic public services, the System Operator of Distribution Network (SODO). The Union will define individual activities from the energy production field at the individual company levels.
Sevčnikar was very upset by the actions of the Director of Termoelektrarna Šoštanj (Teš), who prevented limitation of electricity production during the strike. The Union plans to file criminal charges against the Director of Teš Arman Koritnik.
