The millions will be taken from the budget reserve of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning. The government’s move comes after students have protested in Ljubljana this week.
The money is intended for bus and rail transport. The ministry said last month that it ran out of money for such subsidies. It later provided the money until the end of June, but students have demanded a long-term solution by the end of the year and now they will receive the needed funds.
