The 14th Festival of the Third Age - the biggest festival of its kind in Europe - opens its doors today. The festival will take place in the cultural and congress centre Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.

There will be several accompanying events from discussions to cultural programmes and exhibitions. Expert discussions will be held until the 1st October the International Day of Older Persons. On the last day of the festival a conference on cooperation between the generations today and in the future will be held.

Part of the festival is also a fair where more than 160 exhibitors present their products and services for a quality life of the elderly. RTV Slovenia also participates in the festival presenting the first programme of Radio Slovenija and the webpage for the elderly ‘Moja generacija’ (My generation) of RTV’s multimedia centre.
