Slovenia has received from Austria also official information regarding the measures for restricting the entry of migrants. Therefore our country started implementing new measures for refugees, the Minister of Interior affairs Vesna Györkös Žnidar explained for Radio Slovenija: "Due to restrictions introduced by Austria and Germany, we will allow entry only to those migrants who express their intention to request international protection in Austria or in Germany. The entry is denied to the others."
Since the implementation of the measures valid from 10 p.m. on Thursday two trains have arrived to Slovenia, the first at approximately 10 p.m. carrying 945 foreigners. As reported by Suzana Vahtarič for Radio Slovenija, they were received, provided for and registered, and a half of the first group has already been forwarded towards Austria, and the second will be dispatched soon. According to unofficial data there are only few individuals in the group which fail to meet the criteria to enter the country.
The procedure for rejecting the aliens who fail to meet the conditions is not completed yet; as explained by the Police Administration Novo mesto they are still waiting for the response of the Croatian Police, and therefore for now they refuse to disclose the details. A more detailed report on the implementation of the measures for limitation of arrival of migrants at the border will be given later in the afternoon by the Ministry of Interior Affairs.
