The head of Lotrič Metrologiy, Marko Lotrič, says the park is a response to the fourth industrial revolution, which demands the digitalization of measuring devices and procedures. In developed countries, such as Slovenia, between 3 and 6 percent of the entire GDP is the result of measurements. This year, Lotrič Metrology will issue more than 85,000 certificates, which include more than 4,2 million measurements. The measurements are done by 130 employees in six countries where the group has its own companies.
The group decided to by the new premises, where the new metrology park is located, also due to a lack of space at its home offices in Selce. Apart from presenting measuring devices, the group will also be presenting their own products inside the park.
