Furs will allocate approximately two millions for launching cash registers, i.e. for updating of hardware and software. The information system should work faultlessly. Testing will start already in September.
The details should be known only in August, but the programmers claim that there will be enough time for adjustments on the side of taxable persons.
New hardware, public tenders, regulations, technical preparations –there is a lot of work to be done before the date set for the introduction of cash registers, which is not far, Zdenka Bakalar reported for Radio Slovenija. "According to our estimations we are ready, and will be able to complete all the obligations in due time in order to introduce cash registers without any problems," said Peter Grum, ‎Deputy Director General at Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.

For those who have already been using cash register programs, the adjustment should be easy. Tomaž Čebašek, manager of the computer engineering company Vasco said that "the only change these programs require is the connection with Furs, and their servers to which data will be transferred on-line." According to Čebašek's estimation, an experienced programmer will need approximately one month to make the necessary adjustments for all his clients.
