Koprivec was due to attend a hearing this morning in parliament. It had already been postponed from Friday, after Koprivec suffered a health scare and had to be taken to the emergency room. Now the prime minister’s office has announced that Koprivec is no longer being considered an official candidate. The parliament has also been informed.

The Slovenian government has been without an economy minister since October, when the previous minister resigned. The post is being temporarily filled by finance minister Dušan Mramor.
