As reported by the American media, the best Slovenian basketball player Goran Dragić is returning into the Slovenian national team after a year's pause.

"Dragić said that he would play for the Slovenian national team," the American journalist, Miami Herald's basketball reporter Ethan J. Skolnick wrote on twitter. Dragić's team Miami finished the NBA League season on Sunday, after being bested by the Toronto basketball players in the decisive semi-final match of the Eastern Conference.

Slovenia will play in the qualifications for Eurobasket 2017 due to the defeat in eight-finals of the European Championship in September. The Slovenian team will enter the new cycle under the leadership of coach Igor Kokoškov who took over from Jure Zdovc.
