The government has decided to put together a special task force led by Justice Minister Goran Klemenčič, which will look at how assets from Slovenia and sent (and concealed) abroad and what can be done about it. Foto: BoBo

The group will deliver a report by the first of March. In this report, the task force will also propose measures to limit these practices and propose measures to more effectively control capital flight. The goal is to try to recover funds that otherwise escape Slovenia and end up in tax havens.
Government officials said it was unfair that the government provided aid and assistance to the financial sector at the same time that some people in the financial sector avoided their fair share of taxes.
