The traditional graduation party in Slovenia takes place under the patronage of two organizers – the Graduation Parade is organized by the Urška dance school, the Graduation Quadrille is organized by the Slovenian Dance Association. The central part of the first event took place in Ljubljana while the second in Maribor. A total of more than 50.000 dancers took part in both cities. In Slovenia graduates also danced in 18 other towns including Kranj, Nova Gorica, Novo Mesto and Murska Sobota.

Since the year 2001 until this very day, the Graduation Parade, with its synchronized dance, has joined together more than 300 graduates in more than 100 European cities from tens of countries and recorded nine Guinness records. The Slovenian Dance Association is the holder of the last three Guinness records in synchronized dance from the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. The record from 2011 is 33.202 synchronized dancers, which is still considered as the biggest number of people to have ever danced the quadrille simultaneously.
