He was apprehended on a 2006 Serbian arrest warrant. Haradinaj, now the president of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Party, was returning from his visit to Germany, reported Radio Slovenija.

Haradinaj told by phone to the Kosovo newspaper Express that he was not arrested, but detained by the Slovenian Police until the Slovenian authorities verify the validity of the Serbian arrest warrant.

He was acquitted by the Haag Court due to the lack of evidence, Radio Slovenija reported.
