The leader in the World Cup downhill rankings started as the 11th competitor and was the
fastest at all intermediate timing points. She increased her lead from start to finish and ended the race more than a second ahead of the previous leader, Ramona Siebenhofer of Austria.
"It didn't all go perfectly. I still have some reserves – parts of the course where I want to ski better. There aren't many new elements on the course compared to yesterday, but I did ski some of the segments differently. I must improve several things in the last jump to avoid going around too much. The snow was perhaps a bit harder today, and I expect it to get harder every day. But the grip is still good, and the conditions are great, so I'm already looking forward to the real thing," said the Maribor native.
Štuhec also had the fastest time in the first practice round on Wednesday. The downhill race will take place at noon CET on Sunday.
