Michelle Gisin (+0.12) came in second, while Sofia Goggia (+0.16) placed third.

Štuhec finished the downhill leg third, clocking in 0.74 seconds behind American Laurenne Ross. Slovenia’s best skier pulled out all the stops in the slalom leg, finishing eighth to win the combined event. It was her third victory of the season.

"I try to train all disciplines. My goal is to focus and perform to the best of my abilities. I guess I must be doing something right," the 26-year-old said in a public statement.

Ferk and Bucik score World Cup points
Maruša Ferk placed 12th (+2,84) for her best result this season. Ana Bucik also had a good showing, coming in 28th. Vanja Brodnik finished 33rd – just outside the World Cup points.

Slovenian skiers to compete in two more World Cup events this weekend
The course in Val d'Isère is now being prepared for Saturday’s downhill. The Super-G will take place on Sunday. Štuhec is gunning for a top spot at both events.
