The interim report was marked mostly by the disappointment of the prosecution in the Nova Ljubljanska Banka (New Ljubljana Bank). The prosecution thinks it is not cooperating as it should. The leader of the specified prosecution, Harij Furlan emphasized that investors have quite a few problems as the NLB unjustly calls for the secrecy of data. Furlan also says the bank has not yet given a assessment of damages or a estate damages restitution claim, although they could.
Investigators noted that NLB fiddled the books, the leadership paid out awards for themselves and the bank is now expecting capital increase and layoffs. The prosecutor noted that the people who will be laid off will probably not be those, who are currently hindering the investigation.
